Turning 22

i Guys! If you guys didn't already but noticed that there is a severe lack of updates recently, well here's a clarification of why. 

Not trying to complain but currently sandwiched by two 3k essays on 25th March and a 7k Assignment + 30 page "Career Skills" portfolio on 19th April. And don't make even mention exams are coming up on the 30th April - 17 May. Sounds kinda exciting and busy schedule for anyone, but it isn't. IT IS FUCKING ANNOYING! Oh well, i don't really want to swear, but it felt damn good. 

Oh, and btw I turned 22 on 15 March 2010. I didn't really think that i was that old until that day. I mean, the joy of celebrating birthday seems to be significantly toned down compare to those younger days. Just felt like. i didn't really care. I appreciate how my flatmates and close friends celebrate for me that day, but it just felt like it's another day. Gosh, can't even think what will happen when i am 30. Mid-life crisis. It's gonna suck.

You Can Bring Ranma 1/2 back!

I am pretty sure that even for the most anti-anime fans will know this legendary series - Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi. For the uninitiated, this is an anime that begins nearly 22 years ago (As old as I am) that tells of a martial artist's bizzare life. The twist? He can change gender if cold water is splashed on him. XD

This anime has the strongest points being that it manages to weave comedy, story, drama seemlessly together. Even though the anime was like 2 decades ago, it is STIll absolutely entertaining to watch every time people try to manipulate him by using his curse. Alas, the anime came to an abrupt end even when the manga wasn't actually done with it, leaving fans disappointed and yearning for more.

So... I came across a new itchy preview of the OVA of Ranma, which was released as a 1 special only  in 2008. And my god, it brings so much nostalgic value and much needed visual upgrade to Ranma 1/2, which is quite remarkable to a series that is 20 years old. While I actually detest most of remakes of original stuff cause mostly it ruins stuff up, but this is actually a good news. What is the good news? They are planning to release the remaining content of Ranma manga in anime form, provided enough people wants it :)

Happy Chinese Roar Year!

Yes! Chinese New Year is upon us again! A reason to smile, be happy, excuse to get fat and reunite with your friends and loved ones. Oh, and excuse to post this too:-

For me, Chinese New Year is always associated with a very old Chinese traditional philosophy : " Out with the old. in with the new." This includes my mom's insistence of me getting rid of any old and torn clothes  that I loved so much T_T Throwing anything away that is not needed (A mini spring cleaning) and buying new stuff  such as bowls and cutlery will be replacing the old ones temporarily ( symbol of prosperity of the new year).

However, i guess even the most recluse type of people knows that the last year was hit pretty hard by recession and shit like that. It makes this year new year a whole less jolly, and I believe that instead of buying new stuff, it is time for us to appreciate what we have.

Example: I always wanted a new guitar since the old one is making some weird noises, but i realized that it hold so much nostalgic value for me. So i went to have it repaired, polished, fix new strings, and it is good as ever. Also, my laptop screen went bust recently and the repair fee is expensive considering i can chip in other few hundred more to get a completely new and powerful one. But i felt very sayang for it, since it was the first laptop i actually handpicked and chosen out of so many, that i decided to get it fixed. Needless to say, I still loved it as ever :D

Here's a food for thought: i seen some quite unusually negative reaction to this piece of news, mainly because they 'believed' that it is helping Buddhism grow in popularity in a bad way, and it is not 'right' to spread it by modern ways. I personally think that it is actually a great way! Think about this, this method is actually very similar to gospel in churches, and Western media actually embraces it and let it grow in popularity. Buddhism itself is a great religion but i it is out of touch with the people nowadays. People can't understand what's the meaning of the mantra, let alone feeling the faith of it. Besides, it is just damn cool to see a monk serving up a Pina Colada in front of you ;)

I Drink Pussy Juice for Energy

I am sure you all have those days. Days when you feel lethargic, powerless and fatigue. Unfortunately for you it seems those days coincide with dozen of submission deadlines, examination periods and relative gatherings :( 

It is only matter of time that we all need that extra 'boost' to pass the day, and I am also sure that you all are not stranger to those 'boost'. Some turn to energy drinks, like relentless or the infamous redbull; some turn to caffeine pills, hooking on one by one; some simply just ask their friends to bitchslap their face until they are awake again. For me, all those methods are nothing for the weak and pussies. In fact, I drink pussy juice for the energy i need. I savour the sweet nectar from the heaven, directly from the opening and slurp in delight! Mmmmmm.......

Ok, before anyone actually take serious of what i said just now and plan to take me into custody for public sexual exploitation , put down your damn phone. I am actually referring to this:-

Yes, it's a new energy drink named Pussy. However, unlike those taurine-packed, no good bull crap energy/soft drinks, Pussy is full of natural goodness. It's mostly mix with botanic herbs, lychee, and the ancient energy booster - Ginseng Siberian Ginseng  to be exact). So instead going BURRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPP! like you normally would after drinking redbull, you actually thought you drank a nice can of Yeo's Lychee juice, 

To be honest, the taste gets a little bit while to get used to, but it has actually a refreshing taste to it without the feel of artificial and carbonate drinks. I highly recommend this to people that wants an alternative from redbull or relentless , even for people who are afraid that taurine is obtained through bulls testicle, to give Pussy energy drink a lick.

Hi Everybody! Welcome to my humble site! My name is JC Yee, or Jun. A Malaysian blogger that is currently studying in University and frankly bored out of his mind. This is by no means my first attempt running a blog though, as I have start blogging since the relatively old age of 18 to maintain contact with my friends. (Come to think about it, I always confuse bloggers and hackers at that time)

What can you expect to read from here ? Well, for starters this blog will mainly be tied with my interests – which includes my favorite football team Liverpool FC, video games, ANIME, spicing up some cocktail and amusing myself with my lame sense of humor. Also you can expect I talk about my hometown – Johor Bahru quite a bit, since there is practically no one blogging about it.

Another nifty little feature that I will have on my blog are the recommendations that I would blog about monthly. The reason why is because I feel that my current interests are restricted, and I need to expand my ‘horizon’. Making recommendations and trying out new stuff is probably the best way to do so.
